Welcome to our publications
To function our community has to have volunteers; without them meals on wheels, school programs and political activity to name a few would virtually stop. Volunteers are today’s modern day heroes. They come from every race, creed and age performing small to overwhelming tasks, all with little or no recognition. Our magazine has two agenda’s firstly to recognise the great volunteer organisations and secondly to highlight the need for more volunteers. Everyone has a desire to assist others; we hope that one or more of our articles will peak your interest and you too will become another local hero!
The team at Community Volunteers Report are all dedicated to enriching the community by supplying information directly relating to the multitude of volunteer organisations and creating understanding for new volunteers to find their niche. The report is a full colour, e-magazine, which can be reprinted on demand and passed on to other interested parties with the aim of informing readers through entertaining articles. At present we have many previous editions available to view online.
The latest edition of Community Volunteers Report is a feature edition focusing on "Beach Volunteers". Beach culture is a way of life that defines the national Australian identity. It revolves around surfing, swimming, community, leisure and prioritises beach safety, as championed by local volunteers. In this special edition we examine one of the most quintessential Australian Volunteer organisations... Surf Life Saving. Surf Life Saving Australia is the nation’s largest volunteer movement, boasting over 207,000 members. We look at the origins of surf clubs as well as their functions in today's age. We also take a look at Beach Cleaning Volunteers. All this and more inside our 17th edition.
